Best Workout for Women Over 50: 30 min a day


Once we hit fifty, our bodies swap all our youthful energy and beauty for wisdom and… restricted movement. But fear not, you can delay or even mitigate these physical reductions with fun, regular exercise. 

Experts say you don’t have to hit the gym. Walking briskly, jogging, dancing, or biking regularly can be enough to get your aerobic system pumping. Light weights can do the trick to keep your muscles healthy, while light flexibility exercises can improve balance and decrease the risk of heart disease, diabetes, and other conditions. Yoga and Pilates are suggested, but even just a regular walk, stretch or dance can be beneficial.

Most importantly – have fun! – as you’ll “exponentially increase the likelihood you’ll stick with the program over the long haul.”
