I Can’t Find the Volume Button on the Remote!

You don’t have to be a senior to feel the frustration of the myriad of tiny buttons on your television remote control. Remote devices have the habit of hiding in places making it impossible to turn on the set, but once you have them in hand, deciding which of the tiny buttons to push is another challenge altogether.

The ElderGuru website lists their opinion of the six best remote controls for seniors. The winner has a grand total of five buttons big buttons and one tiny one for mute. To begin an evening of streaming your favorite show simply press the on/off button, then continue to volume up, volume down, channel up, and channel down. For those who want ease of use this is the one.  Another choice also has six backlit buttons so you don’t have to get up to find the light switch should the room darken at sunset.

Of course, if you want to eliminate buttons all together, you can choose a voice-controlled remote. A built–in microphone will search for TV shows and movies, and you won’t have to point it directly at the TV.

Read HERE for six options to make your life easier so you have time to sit back and enjoy the show!
