While researchers are still focused on medications that could slow or halt the advances of PD, these newer medications are welcome additions for those whose symptoms are difficult to control. Remarkably, in the last five years, seven new medications have been approved for the treatment of the motor symptoms of Parkinson’s disease (PD), with two approved in 2020!
