Be a Road Scholar.. if you’re over 60 & adventurous, it’s all-inclusive!

This may blow your mind if you haven’t heard about Road Scholar.. which originated in 1975 as Elderhostel. The story began as two people shared stories of their travels and youth hostels but wondered why older Americans didn’t have more grass roots opportunities to travel and learn, staying active and engaged in retirement. From 1975, when they began with combining not-for-credit university classes with inexpensive lodging and field trips in New England, to spreading across the country with higher levels of learning adventures, and then going international.. to 2010 when more than 4 million adults had participated in the programs – they eventually rebranded as Road Scholar.  More than 100,000 Seniors participate annually in these learning adventures (which are all-inclusive! other than your transportation there) – with solo travelers welcomed along with couples  or families or small groups – so indulge yourself by at least reading more HERE:

We also found it incredibly nice that they also offer Caregiver Grants to help with the cost of participating for those who need the break more than most of us can imagine.  Take a look! Caregiver Grants
