If you’re about to turn 65, know the difference between Medicare and Medicaid

Admittedly confusing, the difference between Medicaid and Medicare is dependent on the person. Some people are able to qualify for both, although everyone should understand what they are applying for. This article takes you step by step through the definitions and qualifications for both. Each one may vary by state, but it’s important to understand the basics. Many of you may already have one or the other in place, but some of you may be coming up on the time to start educating yourselves! 

Procrastination on the subject makes sense, it isn’t something people typically want to think about, but lining it up is beneficial for your future. Medicare is aimed for those 65 and older, and certain younger people with disabilities or those with specific kidney issues.  It has Part A and Part B, so knowing the difference is helpful to understand. Medicaid can provide health coverage for those in financial need – no matter their age.
