It may not surprise most seniors that nine of the ten best towns are all located in Florida. Sarasota holds the number one spot with its soft, powdery sand, $245k median home price for those over 60, and its health care providers. Other towns on the gulf coast include Fort Myers, Naples, while seniors who want more of the amenities of a small city prefer Tampa.
If you are looking for lots of people your age, then you’ll be happy in Daytona or Myrtle Beach, where close to a third of the population is over 60. Port St Lucie has the same demographic and a laid-back atmosphere to boot. However, if the flashy nightlife that South Beach in Miami offers, you may choose the fifth most popular town on the list.
