Cauliflower Buffalo "Wings"

These Cauliflower Buffalo "Wing" Bites are a healthier alternative to traditional chicken wings while still delivering that satisfying crispy texture and spicy kick. They're perfect for gameday gatherings, appetizers, or any occasion where you want to enjoy a tasty and guilt-free snack.

Ingredients
  

For the Cauliflower Bites:
  • 1 head Cauliflower Cut into florets
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour or Gluten-free Alternative
  • 1 cup Milk or Plant-Based Milk
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
For the Buffalo Sauce
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce (your preferred level of spice)
  • 1/4 cup melted butter (or olive oil for a healthier alternative)
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional, but adds sweetness)
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper, to taste
  • salt, to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 450F (230C)
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, milk, and seasonings to create a smooth batter
  4. Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, allowing any excess to drip off, then place it on the baking sheet
  5. Bake the cauliflower in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until they are crispy and golden brown. Flip them halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  6. Prepare the buffalo sauce: In a separate bowl, combine the hot sauce, melted butter or olive oil, honey if using, apple cider vinegar, cayenne pepper, and a pinch of salt and mix
  7. Toss the baked cauliflower in the buffalo sauce, ensuring even coating
  8. Serve and enjoy: arrange the bites on a serving platter. serve them with your choice of sauce and celery sticks
